Currently, Q is not working steadily; he does what he can to bring in money for the bills. I know, you’re thinking, this woman is crazy, he puts her in the poorhouse and now he’s not working either. I guess I am crazy. Before the doors closed on the business Q was working for, he was making $800 a month, so my first financial goal is to make up for this $800 that’s not coming in. You see, one thing that I learned when reading Behind the 8 Ball is that even though he seems to be in recovery, I still need to distance myself financially to take care of myself and that is what I’m doing. I highly recommend this book; if you’re in a similar situation as myself then you should pick it up.
Anyways, the first thing that I’m going to be doing is consolidating our high interest line of credit with our truck loan, this will save us at least $200 a month. As I stated earlier, we just paid off one of Q’s gambling loans also, so there’s a total of $250 that will be freed up. Only $550 to go, I’ll get into how I’m making up the rest later on.
