This month’s update is a little overdue, but I did lose my way a little during August. July was an another good month for earning Big Crumbs referrals as I added another 10 people to my downline. Thank you to all that signed up under my username.

My referral earnings were down a little from June to $18.18, but August is really looking up. I really think that Big Crumbs needs to send out reminders a little more often than they do. Maybe updates with coupon links or sales that affiliates are running. I don’t have much more to say regarding my referral earnings, so this post is going to be quite short.

If you are a member of Big Crumbs already, I recommend purchasing a domain from GoDaddy or your favorite registrar and forwarding it to your referral link. If you are already a member of Big Crumbs, check the Big Crumbs retailers, to see if your favorite registrar is available. If they are not, contact Vince and he will check and see if they can be added. If they are, buy your forwarding domain through the BC link and you can earn cash back for your domain purchase. Double and triple check your forwarded link to make sure it’s correct, check back next Tuesday to find out why.

My tip for the month is to remember that Big Crumbs offers cash back for purchases from GoDaddy.com. If you purchase your domains from them, then you may want to check into this great site to earn some rebates on your domain purchases.

After all of my cleaning, I am finally ready to start the spreadsheet needed for my contest. There will be two parts to this and one of them will take a little manual tracking on my part. Stay tuned for more details.

It’s not quite as good as February and no where near January, but it’s still extra money in my pocket. I think part of the drop could be due to the economy, but I still wish Big Crumbs would email it’s members a reminder to shop every 2 months. I think this would be unintrusive but yet enough to keep members coming back. This is about the same time-span that Ebates uses for reminding their customers as well.

My direct referrals have jumped by 10 this month so I’m now at 67 and starting to realize that 1,000,000 directs may be pushing the goal, but I’ll keep trying. I’ll be looking at smaller goals along the way as well so here’s to 100 in two months.

I really find it interesting that most of my referral commissions are coming from my 3rd and 4th level of referrals.

As far as working towards my goal of 1,000,000 people referred to this great shopping site, in January 2008 I had 13 different people sign up underneath me which brought me to a total of 43 direct referrals as of 1/31/2008. That leaves me with only 999,957 more to go. February is already off to a great start with 1 person signing up yesterday.
